For my first Big Bang experience, I had the wonderful honor of working with the superbly talented
__tiana__. Seriously, go read her fic RIGHT NOW! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
J2 Fire and Ice

I actually started this piece with just Jensen in mind and it was going to be a simple civilian clothing shot. When I was done with his head, however, I started toying with the clothing folds and it just kept more and more detailed. Lo and behold, I ended up doing hyper detail which about killed me! /o\ But the end result turned out well, I think, so I decided to forego inking and leave it as is. Then I decided Jensen looked lonely, so out came Jared! Only problem, Jared and Jensen can't be in the same room together. And that's where a re-read of the fic and the [SPOILER] comes in, phew! \o/
Phoenix

This was actually the first piece I did. It started out as a quick fashion type sketch so my author and I could decide on which costumes to use, but I really liked the pose, so I cleaned it up substantially and turned it into Jared in his Phoenix guise. The whole reason why I chose to do the art for this fic is because I am a comic book geek at heart, and I primarily learned to draw by trying to re-draw what I saw in the X-men series by Jim Lee. It felt really good and natural to get back to my roots and go all comic book style for this and the Jensen one.
Ice

I couldn't very well do a Phoenix art without doing one of Jensen in costume, now could I? I decided that since I had Phoenix standing that I would have Ice be flying in his solo pic. This was right after I did the hyper detailed pic, so it kind of carried over to the background in this one. OMG, I should have stuck to my "don't do windows policy"!
Jared's Motorcycle

This was the last piece I did. I mostly did it to challenge myself, since I have never drawn a vehicle in my life! Now I know what people that draw mecha complain about! O_O Needless to say, I won't be attempting to do the Impala anytime soon! Kudos to you artists that do this style all the time. I will say, though, that this was the most fun piece to do. :D

Thanks to:
My author,
__tiana__. I cannot praise her nearly enough! Not only did she make my first Big Bang a wonderful experience, but she is truly one of the most talented and sweetest people I have met in this fandom. It was great to be partnered with someone that had so much insight into the super hero genre and who was completely onboard with a full blown collaboration! Thank you.
transfixeddream for all the tremendously helpful feedback and for keeping me grounded when I was living in the clouds, full of hot air and delusions of grandeur.
shinyslasher for being the most efficient task master I have ever met in my life! :P
dolnmoon, and
memoonster for all of your support and patience with all of my frequent freak outs and over-dramatic whining.
And finally to
thehighwaywoman and
wendy for oragnizing this challenge, my hat's off to you both.
