Seven Deadly Sins of a High School Bingo BB

So first off, I feel the need to apologize for my lack of Sin Updates. When I started posting I was all ready to go full out with all seven right away and had four completely written. I am holding out on posting the fourth (GREED) because I want that to be the finale, but I should have GLUTTONY done tonight or first thing tomorrow and then off to my amazingly talented friend and beta dcillusioned. I have a good chunk of ENVY done too so that will probably be next up. I am gonna try to focus this weekend to get some writing done, even with it being a holiday and all. *crosses fingers* All that will leave is PRIDE, which I have a plot all figured out for and now I just need to write it.

I had a bit of a shock when I noticed it was check in today for the RPF Bingo I signed up for. I have 2500 words written, which, I guess, is a better start than I thought it would be but that's what I will be working on when Sins wraps up. :) I am doing a J2 movie adaptation that I am really excited about, and can't wait for y'all to see!

Now on to the bingos I have signed up for... I have my wild card for KINK done so far (thank you LUST!) and I have one prompt filled out for SCHMOOP done but it isn't posted. I am gonna try to work on these whenever I am not neck deep in BB writing :P For KINK I am going for a cross pattern (if any body has suggestions for water sports I would love some help! that's my one AHHH prompt on the pattern lol)and goin' for Blackout for SCHMOOP!!!

Which brings us up to hs_bingo. If you haven't heard yet, transfixeddream and I are heading up a little bingo of our own based on HIGH SCHOOL AU! As of right now we have over 100 players, double what we were expecting at this point. Fandoms range from SPN, RPS, to Smallville, Glee, Bandoms, and even Disney shows, plus a lot more! So between us two and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] we will be pleasantly bursting at the seams with HS AU over the next few months! The challenge will be open up until New Year's Eve so feel free to come play.

Phew! I think that about covers it! Now off to celebrate my dad's birthday, blow up some tiny explosives, and then to diligently write, write write! XD

lol I know and just a few months ago I was telling Travis how I liked not being constrained by obligations and deadlines... now look where I am! I could always sign up for H/C and one of those table prompts while I am at it, ya know! ; )

mmhmm, trust that you would also want to join in that particular insanity (re: vampire Dean) lol well ok it's not an insanity, but I just didn't feel it was my best writing, and then people liked it, so it left me with a funny feeling, right now I'm supposed to be writing the next part of the prequel, but I'm stuck cause someone requested I add Dru, and then my other friend said if Dru was in it I had to put Spike in to LOL but I think I'd just like to skip to Dean returning to Sam all vampified lol and I don't have my girl to run things by cause she's on vacation, but then I also want to have something posted before she gets back, so aaahhhh lol, ok I should stop with the venting haha

a paragraph is nothing to scoff at, it's progress, and more so than simply re-reading what you've already got, and then staring off into space pondering how the next part should go and then all of a sudden you're thinking about things like 'where did I put that can ok coke' and 'holy crap that better not be a spider' or you know something like that, I would say procrastination is an art form and should be taken seriously LOL haha well ok its mostly annoying, but damnit sometimes singing is just more appealing than writing lol or playing solitaire, or searching for more pictures of Jensen....or you know reading someone else's stories lol

and haha yeah I told you about it, and yeah I made it Darla, cause she is amazing, and because well she's easy to write, or well she's easy for me to write, lol

Well I actually feel somewhat accomplished, no writing but i did do some art work for my kink card so far today. It's been a while since I broke out my art supplies and though the subject matter isn't exactly my favorite, I think it turned out fairly decent... now just to find a scanner! lol That's now two kinks taken care of wild card (tattoo/ piercings) and watersports (eww). Watersports was by far my least favorite of the kink prompts in my pattern and there was no way I was gonna write a fic about it, at least its out of the way, right?

I feel bad that I haven't read that yet.. = ( The only things I have really read recently are bingo fics... I promise i will though! Just not sure when exactly.

Yeah, tell me about it... it isn't the best drawing I have ever done, by far, I blame that on Jensen... he may be beautiful but boy is a bitch to draw! But it does its purpose I think lol and again not gonna write in length about it so... :X

lol I used to be *coughs* still am *coughs* like this, lol well in the land of rp I was forever taking on new storylines or coming up with new ones with my rp girl, and funnily enough her name also Nic hehe but obviously minus the k haha but yeah at one point I had like 30 characters and just between me and her alone we had like I dunno maybe 80 storylines hahahaha crazyness, we so did more plotting than writing lol but yeah now we have like 3 haha, Buffy/Dean, Darla/Dean (she read my prequel fic and wanted to do something with them lol) and Max/Alec lol but it's just me and her, haven't got sucked in by anyone else...yet haha

Sokay babe, I got the idea you were a little tied up, and not in a kinky way either. Darn it, could have used me camera for that one. LOL. Neil's so much better right now, must be cos I've had a day at work and he's just slept all day, that or me buzzing around him like a mother hen was getting to him. Don't you get going overboard and doing too much young man or else, lol, holy hell now I sound like my mum.

I'm arranging stuff myself, so have had the opportunity to have a good go at stuff, have holiday organised fully now for Spain in October. Both sets or work have been fantastic about Neil, really understanding, so I'm far more relaxed that I would normally have been. I panicked a little to say the least.

All I need now is for it rain and water the garden, and for me to inherit a shed load of money and I'll be a happy bunny.

lol I do try. Let's see... For the non challenge comms, take a look at my user info... you should be able to look at their info and rules to decide if it is a place you may want to post to.

For challenges I generally stick to the Bingos though I am debating on one of those 50 prompt box tables, and I am planning on signing up for the [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] challenge. You choose a prompt based on a disney movie and write a fic based on that.

Bingos are a great way to dip your toes into challnges. There are a ton of different ones out there but for the most part they work the same way. You request a card and they send you a 5x5 card of prompts. You then create a fan work for each prompt of your chosen pattern (line, cross, blackout). Once all of your pattern is completed you submit to the comm for points (or for shits and giggles if during the amnesty period). These are time sensitive challenges and each bingo has different rules so it's best to read them over before joining. ;) Here are a few I am signed up for...
hc_bingo, schmoop_bingo, kink_bingo though it has now moved on to Dreamwidth but there is a link on their journal. And of course my personal favorite, not to mention my pride and joy, hs_bingo.

Table prompts work a little differently. They follow the same concept of using prompts but there are usually more than 25 but there is most likely no given time constraint. These are more of the pat on your back for completing them type of challenges. Like I said I've never done one myself, but my beta loves doing them and has been urging me to try one. the one I might do is at [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com].

Meme is hard to define... try googling it or putting it in wikipedia and it'll confuse the hell out of you. For LJ purposes it is more of a collection of ideas, a way to interact with other users, or a place to find more prompts. There are a ton of memes out there but here are a few examples...

Places like the [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] are places to discuss the show and fanfic in general. Be forewarned though the anon meme is not for everyone. lol

The comment memes are fun. They usually involve someone leaving a more descriptive prompt that other members are free to write for, usually posted in the comment boxes on the comm itself (but you can cross post to your journal). Some popular types are songfic memes, where you write based on the lyrics of a song or the kink or schmoop memes. My favorite is blindfold_spn. It's a kink comm that you anonymously post prompts and fill others prompts. once the comm is closed you can choose to reveal what you wrote or leave it a mystery.
