what I did on my summer vacabirthdependence day weekend

Hi everybody, thank you to everyone for the lovely Birthday messages, emails, texts, v-gifts , cards, presents, and chibis!!! You guys made my week!

I decided to do an overnight camping trip and a quick loop through Yellowstone. So my weekend went like this:

The plan was to be on road by nine am.




And then we pack up and head out!



BUT OMG GIFTSHOP!!!



On the road again...




And the long drive home filled with many a potty stop and "TRUMAN, SHUT THE HELL UP, MY DRIVING IS FINE!" At least I'm assuming, I was in my own car singing to Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson (shut up Travis) with my sister. Overall, a fun and event filled trip! Next time, I am taking the complete tent, though. :P

In other news: I post my BB art on Friday and only 11 MORE DAYS TIL I GET MY PUPPY!

This was so funny I am in awe of your talent. But camping just no, I don't do nature. I'm with your Dad I would have slept in the car over a tent any day. Can't wait to see your BB art and maybe a couple of pics when you get the puppy. Oh and happy belated birthday.

The bugs actually weren't too bad until we got to Yellowstone lake. Not a single bite while we were camping, but the skeeters figured our stop for lunch was good enough for them too. :P

That'd be cool! These were pretty fun to do. I had plenty more pics and things I could have added, like when I tried to blow up my air mattress the car lighter started to smoke. Or that when mom took Mazee into the tent during the storm, thunder scared her so bad she worked her head through the zipper and took off through the campground. :P Oh, camping. lol

Not too many this time, but there was a pretty bug we saw up at Yellowstone! Green/Blue iridescent beetle thingie. THAT DIDN'T BITE! The skeeters, though can diaf!

It was SUPERCOOL the first dozen times I saw it. Twenty years later it is just water shooting out of the ground! :P The people watching is pretty fun though, but I seriously would rather explore the Inn.

Camping is fun! Dad is one of those people that hates camping until you take him, and then he's all about exploring, hiking, fishing, YOU NAME IT! But you have to get him too go! I think he was mostly in the car because of his sinuses, he was too proud to ask for allergy med, cuz HE AIN'T GOT NO ALLERGIES! (or hearing loss, noooo!)

I will totally give him to you, he is the epitome of grumpy old man, I SWEAR TO GOD! It was a pretty fun trip, we will probably do it again next month. But WITH the roof tent! :D

O.M.G...my living room is full of camping gear I'm trying to reorganize for our upcoming trip (leaving in 3 days) and I"m crying - just OMG tears are flying out of my eyes and my cheeks hurt from laughing so hard!!!

Camping is fun! Except for the packing/unpacking dirt and bugs. :P It always leads to comical misadventures, especially with my family.
