Yesterday's posting resurgence was beyond fantastic! To think, something as small as a back and forth twitter convo turned into THAT! Let's keep it up, shall we. I promise, no more orange vinyl briefs... this time. ;)

I keep intending to scale back on fandom art stuff and take a break, but every time I plan to do that I find myself heaping on the art projects like an all you can eat buffet. It's like a freaking addiction, apparently. So here's what's coming up from me over the next little while...



• I still owe three charity commission pieces: 1 chibi and 2 now chibis. One I feel really bad about the one because they asked for Dean/Ezekiel... Yeah back when we still thought Gadreel was Zeke!Sam. And then he turned evil and then not evil and then into bloodstains on a wall in Heaven's episode of Lockup. :| Sometimes my procrastination is NOT that great of a thing. I really need to stop offering charity stuff, because I am HORRIBLE on turn around times. :\

• I too fifteen-- FIFTEEN!-- prompts for the color meme challenge I posted after BB. Five SPN, Five TW, and Five comic book characters. The variety is outstanding! I have prompts ranging from Meg and Ruby to Peter and Allison to the Flash and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)! Should definitely prove fun and challenging. I am debating on doing some in traditional-- mostly to finally break in my Prismacolors that I've had since Septemberish? I don't know why I am so scared of traditional, but yeah... Nice thing about this one is that I have no timeframe.

• Kami mentioned on Twitter that I should do an Isaac chibi, and I really should. I haven't done that many chibis the last month or so.

• I am working on some super not so sekrit if you watch my Twitter artwork for something that tebtosca and riyku are working on. Let's just say you will LOVE what is coming. *cracks whip and takes out the handcuffs*

• 30 Days of Porn meme.. art edition. ;)

• I really want to hold another round of tw_everafter but I'm not sure. there wasn't a whole lot of participation last round, but such is the case with Teen Wolf fandom on LJ. It's really difficult to promote in this fandom.

• I also really want to talk to my other co mods about bringing back super_disney. Maybe it's just me, but I really feel like SPN fandom is reaching out and trying to rebuild itself lately so bringing back some of the challenges that have since passed, would be fun. I'd personally love to do j2_everafter again, but I don't have any say on that one. super_disney might be a possibility tho...

I am trying to cut back on my to do list, because it tends to get out of control. So this isn't too bad but it doesn't take into account any random thing I decide to doodle or any challenge I am not aware of atm. :P I AM WEAK!

I think another round is in order, we discussed it a while ago, but... we shall see!

I wish every day could be LJ posting day! It was good to see so many of my old friends posting again, and getting to meet new people *waves* I've seen you around for a while, and we have friends in common, but I'd never gotten around to actually friending you!

I think everyone has a hard time with charity stuff. Maybe because of the lack of deadline? I once spent a year and a half on one... thankfully, it was for a good friend of mine, so she was understanding. I still felt guilty though :S

I can't wait to see what you do for the colour meme! :D

Charity stuff... yeah, that is also another reason i feel guilty about the one. They aren't someone I know on a personal basis. The other two are friends, one of which really doesn't fandom much anymore, and another that is also under charity commission so feels my pain. :P

Yeah, I think that second round wasn't too well scheduled because it was too close to the holidays? Unfortunately, I am usually very free on holidays since I don't celebrate much of anything LOL. Maybe I should poll the community and see about interest and scheduling.

I would love an lj and spn resurgence.. We need new life in this fandom.. tumblr and facebook have stalemated all the activity. I miss the camaraderie and wonderfully written fics. I miss the wonderfully written fics.

I wasn't around the first few years of fandom, but I came in right at the peak of everything and it was MADNESS! And I had half the friends and comms that I do now, so that should tell you something.

I feel the exact same way! One day I have only 3 charity things, and the next BAM! 15 of this, 30 of that, promo art stuffs, etc etc etc... ADDICTION!

it was a mix of EVERYTHING. Memes, challenges, fic, art, crossposting. You name it! BB alone used to have like 5-6 fics a day, if I recall. The newsletter used to be HUGE every single day!

We could, but the name means a lot and would probably make or break the challenge. And since the mod is a friend of mine, I wouldn't feel comfortable by just up and taking it (even without the name.) It's a respect thing for me. I would want their blessing, but I have a lot on my plate atm to talk with them about reopening it, so.

As for TW, we set up a tumblr right after the claims and sent the participants the info! No one submitted to it and no one followed it. We promoted on there, and we have tumblr people show up for claims... daunt even promoted it! but there was just little turn out and even less follow through.

And AO3 held challenges have about the same problem. It's like TW fandom doesn't understand a challenge unless it has Bang attached to it. And there are a TON of those.
