Howdy, long time no see. Man, I'm bad at this whole social interaction thingy. I shall attempt to be better!

Damn, I really need to get back my paid account here one of these days, I MISS ALL MY LOVERLY ICONS! And definitely need to tweak my journal's coding... LJ why is there an off-center blue block above my header??? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BEAUTIFUL CODING? Bastards always got to be changing something... *grumble*

AHEM...I started a job back in November, it's nothing special but it pays the bills. The only downside is that it's overnight, so it screws with my day/night mentality and doesn't exactly work the best for socializing... but still, money. :P

Hmm, let's see, what else is going on with me? Thanks in part to that work thing, I've lost nearly 40 lbs. After I left my last job, I think it's safe to say I fell into a funk (to put it mildly) and put on quite a bit of weight. I hear not leaving the house and doing nothing but sitting on the couch or lying in bed and eating whatever is in sight will do that to you, WHO KNEW?! I'm still not where I want to be weight wise, but losing what weight I have combined with the possibility of good weather and a very VERY Spring fever prone dog will hopefully keep me active enough to get back to where I was.

I haven't really been doing much art as of late... actually since I did the banners for the first round of spn_masquerade I went through an art burn out. I kept having plenty of ideas, but I could never bring myself to even touch my tablet. The thought of opening an art program legitimately terrified me. I don't even know what was up with that, but luckily I have officially gotten over that! I posted a Daredevil chibi-- which I still need to reply to comments on GDI-- last week (which took me waaaay longer than usual to do, cuz rusty like WHOA!) and currently I'm working on The Sorceress from Masters of the Universe, just cuz. Babysteps, but I'm really enjoying doing them... not to mention relearning all the things I've forgotten how to do. Photoshop is NOT like riding a bike! Hopefully I will be back up to art speed before spn_j2_bigbang claims. *bites nails*

Speaking of chibis...

Against my better judgement... selling my soul via five ten(ish)horcruxes for a good cause HERE and HERE. It's a chibi only offer, but I figure it will help light a fire under my artistic ass.

Hey Nick, congrats on your job and for losing weight, that's really great! Also, I missed that Daredevil chibi, I'll have to check it out. I need to watch the show, too, but I just started Hannibal so it'll have to wait a little bit.

I just finished an apprenticeship, and I soon will have exams to pass. Maybe I'll get a job in a new bakery that'll open soon near where I live, but I'm wondering if I should accept or not, considering that I know for a fact that all the employees are racists, sexists and homophobes :/ (they're the people I spent my apprenticeship with)

So yeah, that's it for me.

Thanks, Thom! It's been a slow process, but I definitely feel a lot better losing it. How you liking Hannibal? The gore and disturbing factors are high, but the quality of the show is worth it imo.

Yay for finishing your apprenticeship! Boo for the racists, sexists, and homophobes. :( Unfortunately they run rampant just about anywhere. But I hope you do great on your rxams and fins a brilliant place to work!

Well done on the job and the weight loss! I haven't actually weighed myself since I gave up hockey and became a couch potato but I've put on a LOT of flobber. It ain't pretty. Brill that you are getting your Art on again, I'd LOVE to see more of your non-chibi work, it's so lovely... hint hint no pressure...

It'd good to be drawing again. I missed it so much. And I have no doubt that I will get back into doing non chibi work, it's just easier for me right now. With chibis I can play a little fast and loose with proportions, coloring, likeness etc. ie I'm LAZY. haha! Best rest assured, there will be some non chibi man flesh at some point down the road. :P
